STEP 2: This is the scary part but as long as you’re careful, you’ll be fine. Along the folded edge of the blanket, you’re going to cut a neckhole. The cut can be as wide or as small as you want (obviously, you should be able to at least fit your head through though!). I recommend marking a line in pencil or vanishing ink where you want to cut the hole first and then draping it over your body one time just to make sure it’s the way you want it. You can also cut the opening very small at first and then make it larger if you need to. You can always cut more but you can’t uncut!

After you do that, you’re pretty much done and you can even wear your new poncho as is. But if you want to make your new creation a bit more professional, go on to the next page.
