I just put the finishing touches on this rather femme floral number, but now I’m second-guessing the design! The back story is that it started out as a perfectly passable dress before I took my scissors to it, but it was definitely lacking in va-voom. Then I garnered some serious inspiration from a somewhat unlikely source – this futuristic office design that transformed two plain Jane old houses into a dynamic office by cutting away bits and pieces of the original structures. Sometimes subtraction is way more effective than addition, you know?
Anyhoo, I cut away a heart shape from the front of the dress, creating a negative space that I filled with some sheer tulle left over from Sandy’s bridal shower tea party. And there you have it! Read on for the before and after and comment to tell me what you think!
