You’d think that Brooklyn-based fashion designer Carrie Freiman would have stopped by Disney World or something after taking home the gold at Amsterdam Fashion Week’s Green Fashion Competition but being the trooper that she is, she came straight back to Bushwick to shoot the lookbook for the Carry Parry Fall/Winter 2012 collection. In typical Carrie Parry style, the colorful caboodle of clothes was totally wearable, very refined and all of the fabrics were sourced sustainably. Carrie wanted the looks – which range from super saturated orange and magenta color-blocked tops to easy-breezy one-piece dresses in beautiful prints – to be modeled by real women, and I went to excitement level 3,000 when she asked me to be one of them!
The whole lookbook hasn’t been released yet but check out this sampling of all of the vibrant shots of some really cool NYC ladies modeling Carrie Parry FW 2012. The photos were taken at Running Rebel Studios in Bushwick in collaboration with The Self-Portrait Project, and the whole experience was a blast. I think Carrie purposely put us all in skyhigh heels so we wouldn’t run off wearing her amazing clothes!
