Here’s a little DIY I came up with after running into a bit of a conundrum when trying to pack for a few upcoming bachelorette parties. Without making myself sound like too much of a fogie, I’m well past my clubbing phase, and I realized I no longer owned any Vegas or Cancun-appropriate tiny purses or pochettes. But I didn’t want to go out and purchase an entirely new bag that I knew would likely just get shoved in the back of my closet (at least until some of my other friends got engaged). After scouring Pinterest for an hour or so, I saw that the young whippersnappers were favoring teeny, colorful crossbody wallet-on-chain bags and then it hit me! A wallet-on-chain is not much more than what the moniker implies – a wallet on a chain. So I basically just took my Chanel wallet and popped a chain on it to turn it into a mini purse. The neat thing about this DIY is that when you’re done using your wallet-on-chain, you can simply convert it back to a regular wallet. Don’t you just love convertible accessories? Read on to see the full how-to tutorial.
A luxurious quilted Chanel matelasse flap bag in rare burgundy caviar leather with rich gold hardware. This is a vintage item so there are a few scratches on the interior and scuffs on the exterior, and one side of the shoulder strap was recently repaired (please see pics). Other than that it is in gorgeous condition and just waiting to be worn and loved by the right Chanel lover!
This auction is for an absolutely stunning and rare pearl beige Chanel Jumbo Flap Bag in lovely preloved condition. This bag has been professionally recolored and reconditioned (the original color is the pinkish light beige still seen inside the bag, while the new color has a pinkish pearl beige luster and sheen). The bag does have some discoloration on the chains and some scuffs on the body of the bag (see pictures) but is in great condition thanks to the professional restoration.

If you happen to see any stray copies of the December Vogue left on newstands, pick it up because there’s something in there that you want – a super chic black and gold Chanel holiday card emblazoned with the #5 on the front and “A drop of No 5 and nothing else” scribed on the inside. But that’s not all. The intricate card is also strung with 5 delicate strands of gilded Chanel sequins in the shapes of perfume bottles, snowflakes and CCs. Of course the card is lovely to look at just as it is, but I know what I was thinking as soon as I opened mine up – DIY time! Read on to see how I transformed a few rows of the sequins into a glamorous Chanel charm bracelet.
Even though I’m the kind of woman who would pull a splinter out of my finger and save it for a later project, I’m also a clutterphobe who lives in a tiny 500 sq. ft apartment with limited storage space. That’s why, while I’m ashamed to admit it, I actually thought about discarding the tiny bits of navy silk I had leftover from my Chanel scarf refashion. But then I thought – are you mad, woman?! That scarf cost me a small fortune, so throwing those pieces out would be like throwing away dollar bills. For weeks, I tried to think of a little accessory that would do the lovely gold logo-emblazoned fabric justice and I think I finally found it my newest creation – this tiny glass bottle pendant. The bottle charm can actually be uncorked, which is how I filled it with a circle of the silk and a handful of tiny opalescent beads. This would be a cute way to display any other meaningful bits and baubles you might have that are too small to make into anything else. Enjoy!
My friend Diana is having a baby girl, and though I haven’t known her too long, she’s already shown me what a genuine, generous and kind person she is, so of course I wanted to do something special for her shower. On the first day we really got to know one another, Diana pulled out her wallet (she kept on insisting that she pay for everything) and then so did I – we actually got into a bit of a pulling fight at the cash register – “No, I’m gonna pay.” “NO, I’M gonna pay!” – and that’s when we realized both of our wallets were Chanel. As I got to know Diana better, I drooled over her other Chanel items and I think the brand really epitomizes her class, style and generosity.
Long story short – here are the Chanel cookies I made for her special baby shower! Read on for the full DIY tutorial on how to make some of your own.
