Update: You guys voted my looks as your favorite! Thank you so, so much! I’ve always felt like I was a bit of a “weird” dresser so it’s very validating to know that at least a few people out there like the clothes I choose to wear. Arigatou!

Lavender blue dilly dilly, lavender green ~ did you guys learn that song in elementary school too? I did, and am only now realizing that it makes little to no sense! What does make sense though is the lavender outfit that I’m wearing today. If you’ve shunned wearing lavender because you were scared of it looking too girly/pastelly, try pairing it with steely greys and silvers like I did here. The more masculine colors ground the purple and even lend a modern edge to this retro ribbon-patterned mini dress, which is part of yet another outfit that I put together for Naya’s Renew Your Soles Style Challenge. The green shoe company asked style bloggers like yours truly to create 5 outfits around one pair of beautiful, versatile boots, booties or pumps to show that you can replace all of those cheap, throwaway shoes with one pair of stylish, quality shoes that will last you a lifetime and I have to say that I agree wholeheartedly. Why spend $20 here and there on shoes when you can save up a bit more and buy a pair of really well made, long-lasting shoes that you’ll wear for years? Take it from someone who is inherently a cheapskate – a pair of more expensive shoes that you absolutely love is better money spent than a pair of throwaways that people can tell cost exactly the amount you paid for them.

Anyways, enough about me – want your own pair of Naya shoes? Just visit this page, “like” Naya Shoes, and scroll down to vote for me as your favorite eco fashion blogger! You could win a pair of your own Naya Shoes!

Voting is now closed but “Like” Naya to hear about new contests soon!
